AFTER YEARS OF USING ENTRY LEVEL PRESSURE WASHERS, I MADE THE STEP UP TO SOMETHING MORE HIGH END
The introduction of my Annovi Reverberi 630-TSS pressure washer to the garage was one of the most anticipated upgrades I have made since my garage and detailing fascination took root way back in 2010. Prior to the installation of this unit, I had gone through three portable electric pressure washers, but it was always my goal to equip the garage with a pressure washing system that was more efficient, powerful and appealing. Little did I know my search would end with an unexpected email from the president of AR North America.

In early January of 2021, I received an email from the president of Annovi Reverberi North America. He wanted to thank me for my continued use of my "Kobalt" rebranded AR390SS portable electric pressure washer. He shared his appreciation for the various Instagram posts and YouTube videos featuring the company's dependable workhorse. Through our email conversation, I let it be known I was considering upgrading the machine for something more robust. A few emails later, the team at AR North America sent me a photo of a package they had put together which included the AR630-TSS unit, a 40' hose, sprayer, wand and other accessories.

I decided to install the unit on the centre portion of the back wall of my garage. This is the most logical and convenient position as it affords me quick and unfettered access to all sides of a car. I installed an industrial metal shelf to support the heavy pressure washer unit. The John Boos EWS8-1624 shelf measures 24" W x 16" D and is made from 18 gauge 300 series stainless steel and features a 1.5" rear riser. I attached it to the wall using four 3" wood fasteners. Prior to mounting the shelf, I had to delete a panel of metal pegboard and replace it with a solid piece of wood that was nailed, glued and screwed to the wall. I painted the wooden backing plate in "Film Noir" to finish off the look.

To keep the hose organized and accessible, I opted for the MTM Hydro 100ft hose reel (Model #27.0004). Mounting the reel to the wall was easy and straightforward but I ran into a few issues in terms of connecting the hose to the reel in such a way that the reel could be wound without the connection hitting the wall. After some modifications to the hose, I was able to successfully attach it to the reel outlet. I had the 40' hose shortened by ten feet so it can be completely unwound when in use.

I sourced a 10' garden hose (red) to supply the unit. I have a "Y" mixer hose on my hot and cold water spigots so I can control the temperature of the water being fed to the machine. This pressure washer tolerates water heated to a max temperature of 140˚F. I purchased a 4' MTM Hydro KobraJet whip hose that connects the unit to the hose reel. The whip hose is attached to the unit with quick disconnects as well as a 90˚ elbow fitting. By using QD's, I have the option of attaching different hoses for a variety of garage and home-related tasks. I have a 100' hose I use to pressure wash the driveway and front walkway.

This pressure washer draws a higher amperage than my previous machines, but I am fortunate that I have a dedicated 20A outlet that is located somewhat close to the unit. I was able to run the 30' power cord along the wall and under my staircase. When it is time to fire the machine up, all I have to do is turn on the taps and hit the power switch.

This video demonstrates the 630 being put through its paces for the very first time. I performed a signature RAD maintenance wash on my extremely dirty SQ5 and it was a highly satisfying experience. Until, as you'll see in the video, I discovered a door ding on the rear driver's side door. Don't let that minor tragedy distract you from the amazing footage of the 630 pressure washer in action. I used a MTM Hydro 40˚ nozzle with a 4.0 orifice. That is my favorite QC nozzle.
