AFTER MANY YEARS OF USING SUBSTANDARD PRESSURE WASHERS, I MADE THE STEP UP TO A COMET STATIC 1700
The purchase of my Comet Static 1700 pressure washer was the most researched decision of my garage experience. I have gone through three or four electric pressure washers over the years, but I wanted to equip the garage with a pressure washing system that was clean, efficient and convenient. Having to plug my previous machine in as well as hook up the hose was become tiresome and annoying. This system is powered and plumbed and ready to go with a flick of a switch.

Purchase

I purchased this unit through Obsessed Garage. Matt and his team are obsessive about garage equipment and testing of this until produced impressive PSI and GPM figures. They measured 975 PSI at 1.90 GPM with a 4.0 nozzle, which is ideal for my purposes. The fact that it mounts on the wall makes it even better.

Installation

Picture
This heavy wood door has faithfully been opened and closed thousands of times over the years by my trusty Chamberlain Liftmaster Formula I belt driven opener. This is a very popular garage door opener and it came as standard equipment with our new home. It is driven by a DC electrical engine that is capable of 1 HP making it the most powerful motor that Chamberlain produced at the time our home was constructed. In the ten years since this home was built, there have been a number of advancements in the garage door opener game so I replaced this Chamberlain with something even better.

The installation process came with a few challenges, but we worked through all of them. Here's a video that demonstrates the trials and tribulations Mike, Ryan (my brother-in-law) and I experienced.
