 A friend of a friend dropped off his '08 X5 for some detailing this morning. I planned on doing a quick interior job, but it morphed into a 9 hour full detail. The owner is trying to sell it, so hopefully this detail helps him get top dollar. I have to say, these X5's are pretty impressive vehicles. Thanks for the compliment. The detail on the X5 came out quite nice in my opinion. The biggest challenge was cleaning the light coloured carpets. For that, I used 1 oz of Griot's Garage Carpet Cleaner in the reservoir of my Tornador Foam Gun. I foamed the carpets and worked the cleaner in using a stiff bristle brush. I then let the cleaner dwell and vacuumed using my shop-vac. The leather was treated with Sonax Leather Foam and I worked it in using a medium bristle leather brush. Both came out quite nice. The exterior was polished using Menzerna SF3500 (I believe) and an orange Lake Country Pad and finished with Collinite Insulator Wax. There were some other products used along the way for various other details, so let me know if you need any other info. I'd be glad to share. Thanks for visiting.

I purchase the vast majority of my supplies and tools through auto obsessed.com. What I don't get there, I get at eshine.ca. Once in a while I will order from Autogeek.com, but the current US exchange and shipping fees are too high at the moment. Autoobsessed.com will have anything a hobbyist or pro would ever need.
